How matching works

SwayQ is not a directory you scroll and a DM button you press. Matching is the product working as intended: briefs in, ranked matches out, protections on for both sides.

How does SwayQ decide which creators fit a campaign?

Three ingredients: category, verified platform signals, and ranking. The brand's brief defines what the campaign needs (audience, themes, deliverables, budget). Creators whose categories and verified data fit the brief surface as candidates, ordered by how they rank. Categories follow a standard content taxonomy, so "fits the category" means something precise, not a vibe.

Who actually picks the creators today?

Today, the SwayQ team curates every match by hand, assisted by the ranking and the verified data. We read every brief and shortlist the creators we would stake our name on. As the ranking matures, matching becomes increasingly automated, with the algorithm proposing and humans confirming, and eventually the system proposing matches directly. The brief you submit and the invitations creators receive stay the same through all of that; what changes is the machinery behind the curtain.

Can brands contact creators directly?

No, and this is by design. Brands never see creator contact details, emails, phone numbers, or DM links. All communication runs through the matched campaign. There is no cold outreach on SwayQ, which means a creator's inbox here only ever contains funded campaigns they were actually matched to.

Can creators apply to campaigns?

Campaign invitations arrive in your creator workspace when a brief matches your category, audience, and ranking. You see the campaign, the deliverables, and the budget, and you decide whether to accept. Keeping your profile complete and your platforms connected is what makes you visible to the matching in the first place.

How do I get matched more often?

Make yourself easy to match: connect your platforms so your data is verified and current, complete your profile, and choose the themes that genuinely describe your content. Beyond that, the same things that improve your Q-Score position make you a stronger match: real engagement, an authentic audience, steady output, and clear category fit.
